Glasgow Museum of Transport
Attracting over half a million visitors yearly, Glasgow's Museum of Transport is one of the most interesting offerings in the city. It features many of the world's modes of transportation, including everything from the traditional horse and carriage to ships and cars. This is a museum that is both informative and fun, and is sure to be a favorite of both young and old.
First opened in 1964, the museum has come to hold an impressive collection. Over 250 model ships are on display here, along with various locomotives, which are an integral mode of transportation in Scotland. Along with all of these popular ways of transportation, the museum also features some unusual artifacts: baby carriages, toy cars, motorcycles, caravans and even a fire engine!
